Your Pics in a Mental Health Music Video! It’s Out TODAY! “Messages To People with Mental Illness”

I was so touched by the response I got from you guys (WordPress community) when I asked for selfies/pics of you with uplifting messages to people struggling with mental illness. So many of you put your game face on and went to work on photos to encourage, inspire, heal, and reach out to people who are struggling. They are such beautiful photos and brought me to tears (of joy!) You are so brave and kind and you are making a difference with this video, one YouTube viewer at a time! I hope you enjoy the song, which is from the musical I am writing about mental illness.
Here it is! Please share everywhere you can!

  1. Hi Rachel,

I just came back home and went through my WordPress reader when I saw you posted this. I have had a truly tough day, really rough-handling emotionally for me.
This made me tear up. I won’t lie and say watching you video has fixed everything but it has brought me back an ounce of hope. Moreover, it amazes me that people can be so uplifting and caring β€” I’m so very grateful that they exist β€” and you too. Thank you so very much for this action and also for your blog and simply for existing.

    Lots of love,

    Giulia

  2. Rachel! you should feel so proud of yourself for making this happen πŸ™‚ Its an awesome video and I truly hope it goes viral because everyone should get a chance to hear these stories. I was like woot! look at the community, look at how everyone is supporting each other. it was so nice to see. btw are you selling the sheet music for “The Ocean?” I’ve listened to it so many times and I’ve been trying to figure the notes out on the piano but I think it would be easier to learn with the music in front of me haha πŸ™‚

  3. Everyone has had a low. That moment when you feel like it is over…finished. But those moments should be seen as beginnings: What better place to start than from rock bottom, knowing that the only place you can go is ‘up’. I’m inspired by the pictures in this video. Thank you all for sharing
